How to Make a Guy Come Talk to You

Whether you're dancing at the hottest clubs or browsing at your local used bookstore it can be hard to get up the guts to talk to a guy.  Therefore, the solution becomes to bring him to you!  You don't need to be a femme fatale and drop a guy at a glance, but with a few tips, you can have the guys buzzing after you!

Use your eyes!  One way that people- especially strangers- communicate is through the eyes.  You can say a lot with them, everything from a "go away" glare to a "come hither" look, so learn to make eye contact.  If you're shy and direct eye contact is difficult for you, you can still make a guy come over and chat by glancing at him and then looking away.  For those of you who are more bold, a direct appreciative look can definitely get a guy's attention and bring him over.

Smile!  A smile is a great shorthand way of saying "I'm friendly!  I'm approachable!"  It means that you're not stuck up and you wouldn't mind having someone come over to chat with you.  Besides, whenever you smile, you make yourself not only more approachable, but more self-confident too.  Confidence goes a long way towards drawing a guy's attention, and even if you feel nervous or unsure, a friendly smile will tell him that you're on top of things!

If a guy comes over to chat, don't be afraid to keep the conversation going.  Remember that if he's walked over and said hello, he's already made the first move and shown that he's interested.  Once that's been established, it should be a piece of cake.  Remember that you are an interesting, delightful woman and show him that.  Try not to be nervous and keep up your end of the conversation.

Carry props!  Much like in theater, the things you carry can say a lot about about you.  Be yourself, because you don't want to attract the wrong kind of guy, after all, but if you're a fan of Neil Gaiman's work, try carrying around a copy of Sandman or American Gods.  You can draw other people with similar interests this way and even if they're not romantic prospects, there's nothing that says you can't be friends!

Get out of the house!  Opportunity is as important as anything else, and you aren't going to get many guys coming up to you if you never leave home.  Even if it's just to read at your favorite coffeehouse or to walk around the park, make sure that they can get to you!
